Mynt's cooperation with VISA

June 2, 2022

We at Mynt are proud of our cooperation and partnership with Visa.

We at Mynt are proud of our cooperation and partnership with Visa. Together with Visa, we have made it possible to offer prepaid cards with all the benefits of a regular Visa card - something we take for granted.

How the cooperation started

In the summer of 2021, we entered into a membership with Visa - opening up many new opportunities. This has resulted in a card programme tailored to every conceivable business need.

Visas is a strong global payment network with digital payment expertise and a strong presence in almost all markets worldwide - including Sweden. As a relatively new fintech company, we received a lot of attention and support for our ambition to develop digital business solutions that make it easy for customers to manage their accounting. Visa operates in more than 200 countries and territories with products and services available on all devices - cards, laptops, tablets and mobile devices. Internationally recognised, Visa offers payment options that are secure, convenient and flexible.

Its Nordic and Baltic fintech teams support fintechs in a variety of sectors, including financial and digital banking, digital currencies and next-generation digital payments. Their locally dedicated teams can provide your fintech with the expertise, tools and support to accelerate and scale your business and reach out globally.

What are the company's future plans?

The aim of Mynt is to offer all employees of a company their own Visa card - debit or credit - and the possibility to set a predetermined spending limit that can be tailored to each employee. The new Coin Card (2.0) will also be released soon, with even more features and payment options.

"We're always coming up with new ideas to make the card better - several of these have already become a reality, and more will appear in the future." says Baltsar Sahlin, CEO.

We would like to say a big thank you to VISA and their team - our collaboration has resulted in a fantastic product. Visa has given us the opportunity to grow as a company at the pace we want.

"In the short term, we will launch our products in Norway, Finland, the Netherlands and Germany. It will be basically the same offerings as in Sweden with some adaptations for each market. Thanks to our cooperation with Visa, we have a great product that can also be scaled up," Sahlin says, adding:

"In the longer term, I think we're in a market where demand for services will explode in the future and I feel we're well positioned for when that happens."

Mynt will now accelerate its growth in new European markets boosted by Mynts 's recently approved E-money license, as well as funding from top growth fund CNI Nordic and new investors such as Fredrik Österberg, co-founder of Evolution Gaming, and Rutger Arnhult and existing investors Luminar Ventures.
