Mynt and Visa

In 2021, Mynt partnered with Visa, and we are proud to call ourselves a Visa Principal Member. This means, among other things, that we issue our own cards and that we can even better tailor our offer to our customers. A trust we take very seriously.

General information on internet safety

Both you as a customer and we at Mynt are responsible for ensuring that personal information is not used improperly. You need to make sure that your digital devices such as computers, phones and tablets are protected, but also that you use your personal data in a safe way.

Cards, mobile phones and computers with passwords are valuable documents that you should store so that they are not accessible to others. Do not lend these valuables to anyone, even to those closest to you.

Check that your assignment is correct before signing the BankID

You will always receive information about what you are signing in the BankID app when you approve with your PIN. It is important to check that the information corresponds to the order you have placed in the app or online banking.

Use virus protection software

If your computer is "infected" by a computer virus, you not only run the risk of losing important information or of unauthorized access. To reduce the risk of this happening, you should ensure that your computer is protected against viruses. We recommend that you use an antivirus program that is regularly updated.

Check that communication is secure

Before submitting personal data or other important information online, you should check that it is a secure, encrypted connection.

You can see this in the following way:

That there is a padlock in the bottom right corner of your computer screen or that the URL starts with "https".

  • Only give your Digipass code or password if your browser shows an encrypted connection (padlock symbol in the browser or the address starts with https://).
  • Do not provide personal, credit, bank card or account numbers on a website that is not secure.
  • Do not forget to log out - both from the websites and the computer you have visited.

Be careful with unknown links and attachments.

  • Think before opening links that are unfamiliar to you.
  • Be careful with email attachments and always check them for viruses.

Installing a firewall

Firewalls are security systems designed to prevent unauthorized access to information. Installing a firewall reduces the risk of unauthorized access. If you use a fixed connection to the internet, you can be exposed to unauthorized access as long as your computer is connected to the internet, usually as long as your computer is turned on.
